How would you describe your work?

Figurative, illustrative drawings and paintings, in general, and abstractions in deeper layers of my own impressions and perception about the mystery of life. Intuitive reflections of pondering about the concept of 'being one' with the very essence of nature.

What inspires you?

Literally everything about the mystery of life and nature inspires me. Contemplating of the divine structure of the spirit of nature and a genuine urge to connect with it keeps me inspired all the time.

Can you speak about your process?

I work in two different ways: one is that I do have an idea, a picture of a drawing in my mind, but I rarely get the desired results. The other, and my favorite way to work, is to draw/paint totally instinctively. That empty paper and art stuff on the table make my mouth water and I like to see/accept this process as a unique, charming game which gives me the greatest joy to play with, so I freely dive into the endless possibilities of the source. I accept this process as totally magical and spiritual.

How did you become interested in art?

I come from a very creative family. As a child, I had a great interest and curiosity of learning and experimenting new things, I was deliriously into reading and examining the plants, flowers, soil, animals and I don't know why I used to draw political caricatures. Making drawings was always a part of my life.

Do you have any favorite artists, movies or books?

David Hockney, Edward Hopper, Cindy Sherman, Archimboldo and so many more. I am fond of American modern classic literature. I like to read science fiction, too. Also have a big love for the delicious stories of Karen Blixen. I like Tarkovski, Tarantino and Almodovar movies and I like George Bernard Shaw's quotes.

What advice do you have for younger artists?

My advise is to try to be free of all kinds of worries about the creative process. Young artists should search for their own cores, face with their inner truth, cultivate themselves in all aspects.
