How would you describe your work?

I’m a figurative expression painter. The background of my paintings is relatable to when I started drawing where I was raised as a child and also the environmental impact on my choice of art.

What inspires you?

Humans and their histories, stories and experiences.

Can you speak about your process?

I plan the whole subject from the beginning of the blank canvas till the moment I’m satisfied with the outcome. My background matters to me a lot in my works so I make sure I achieve the background first, when I’m satisfied, I proceed into developing the subjects and objects in the painting.

How did you become interested in art?

I’ve been drawing since when I was a child. I stutter, so I was told as a child I could draw my opinions rather than saying it. Well, I’ve been doing that ever since then.

Do you have any favorite artists, movies, books, or quotes?

I have several artists who’s work and themes inspire me - local and international artists - such as Alagbe Kahinde Festus and Itz Dammy Adewole.

What advice do you have for younger artists?

I’m a young artist too, so i always want to work, work, and work. Study, experiment and create. I want to be seen differently. I don’t want to create what everyone creates.
